Greatest hits album... I think not

Hi,
All this talk of a greatest hits album seems like just a rumour to me.
I mean they didn't wanna put on a "greatest hits" tour with PopMart and
I've heard Paul McGuiness say in an interview that they aren't ready to
make a greatest hits album just yet and they rather make new songs.
Besides, why would they making new songs on the road if they do not
intend to make new songs? A greatest hits album doesn't seem "U2-ish"
to me... well, it's just my opinion.
