Hey gang,
I just wanted to drop a "wire" in regards to the above post which was left
earlier.
I think we need to go back to the liner notes and brush up on our U2 song-
ography. Maybe it's just me, but I'm sitting here thinking to myself that this
song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards making the Rolling Stones
the originators of this song, and U2 the cover band. Don't get me wrong here,
I'm a PopMartian through and through, but I'm a Stones fan also. I just got a
little chuckle out of the part that reads
"it's not bad, but it still doesn't measure up to the original..." Just kinda
makes ya wonder, ya know? But again, just to clarify......"Paint It Black" was
originally done by The Rolling Stones, and covered by U2 (appearing on the B-
side of the "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses?" 7-inch). Hope this helps out!
Sorry if it sounds sarcastic. I mean to inform, not make fun!
Later all!
