Yes, it was probably in Bill Flanagan's book, but it sounds like the
majority of us have read it, so it's easy for a prankster to sprinkle
trivial details throughout a post in an attempt to come across as
"genuine." Personally, there wasn't anything in the Mr. Yeats post that
none of us couldn't find out pretty easily. I think the bit about Mr.
Edge teaching him how to post was a dead give away that this joker was
trying too hard. Like Bono's really going to take time out of his sermon
to explain how he was able to do this. I saw red flags throughout the
post that told me it wasn't authentic.
Now, back to this oral sex thing! :) Have we all forgotten the most
clear-cut lyric of them all? From "Lady With A Spinning Head", it goes
"Figure of eight/Six and nine again." Frankly I can't come with any
other interpretations to explain that one away!
