calgary, i think it was? actually, EW is a weekly, and their press cycle
closes on, like, friday or saturday nights if i'm not mistaken. an issue
is MAYBE one week behind. (and it's not really BEHIND...but whatever)
*shrug* i got this info from an editor at People, EW's sister publication,
also a weekly. (hence the name entertainment WEEKLZY, but maybe that's
just me) also, RS is a bi-weekly, and since one of my current professors
wrote there for 5 years, i know that their news cycle, while longer than
EW's per issue, they are not much more than 1-2 weeks behind either.

trust me, EW can and HAS printed corrections in the very next issue, 2 at
the outset. they already qualify as being jerks and not admitting their
mistake, in my book. *shrug* it's just mighty bad form. this week's
issue (with vince vaughn & anne heche on the cover) is the third since the
offending issue...

and about eh alcoholism thing...lori & chris brown>> CALM DOWN, kids.
first of all, lori, it is not OUR place nor anyone else's really to save
bono from anything. *shrug* i too would be saddened if her were gone, but
there really isn't anything we can do about it. really. send him your
little "we care about you!" letter if you must, but at least refrain from
mentioning wire or the rest of us, cos it's an embarrassment. i get so
sick of people thinking they can save the world. get over it already.

and chris, i can't believe you said this..."the day they taught
poetry"?!?!? smoke some more crack, kiddo. the fact is, as you seemed to
be alluding to before that statement, poetry is NOT absolute. which,
following logically, means it can't be TAUGHT. so whatever. *laughs at
the idea of teaching poetry* i mean, i guess we learned about, you know
iambic pentameter and shit, but i was never told, "ok, kids, this is how
to write a poem..." that's bullshit and you know it. *shrug*

so enough of my bitching today. *sigh* i would just like to say that i'm
not trying to flame anyone, ok? but do what you will.

love,
mia.
