Amnesty International is hoping to collect 60 million signatures to be
presented in the "World's Biggest Book" to UN Secretary-General, Mr Kofi
Annan, on this day.
To aid in the signing of the petitions, we, as U2 fans, would like to
attempt something different, something that will be a first amongst the U2
Internet community.
We are asking that webmasters of U2 sites modify their homepage for a
24-hour period on Monday, November 23rd (your timezone) to re-direct
visitors to an Amnesty sign page.
This will effectively mean that your site will 'shut down' as a U2 site for
24 hours and operate as an Amnesty International site for that period.
If you wish for your website to participate in this U2 Fansite Amnesty Day,
