WHERE exactly are the second round of "limited edition" CD's being shipped?
Is it US-only?
HOW exactly is one to determine a "limited edition" Best Of CD in the USA,
given that there is no numbering system as is the case in Canada?
Any help with these questions is greatly appreciated.
My $.02 on the bickering about a second release of the "limited edition":
I can understand why people are getting riled up over Polygram's (Island's?)
decision to release more "limited edition" copies, but if there is no REAL
way to track its "limitedness," (i.e. numbering) then I can't really see
what the big deal is.
Other than Polygram went back on its "word" -- wow, a shock! A large
multinational corporation LIED!! The horror!!!! This must be the first
time in recorded history such an event has transpired! And to think, it
comes on the heels of the President of the United States lying, a similarly
isolated event =)
Another point: here we are, the "die-hard" fans complaining because sales of
the "limited edition" CD are so great, that the record company has decided
to go for a second round. How's that for supporting the band? Talk about
fickle!
It almost makes me think that folks care more about their collections and
it's monetary value, than about the music and its ability to touch and
inspire people -- which, for some strange reason, si what I thought the
whole point about U2 is.
Grow up.
