in italy there are really LOTS of U2 fans, but cd's cost quite a lot, too.
well, on tuesday i got my copy of the best of... i thought that, as Will
says, i was not going to find many copies. but in the first store i went
to, they had maybe 20 of them (the price was about $32). in the second they
had about 10 copies (price about $34). in the third -- a supermarket! --
they had about 15 copies, and they sold it for about $30). there also is a
store in Bologna where they sell it for $28 -- but i got to know this when
i had already got my copy at the supermarket...
but the thing is: why is the album not selling as much as predicted? were
people afraid of the supposed long lines out of the stores? were people
afraid they could never get their own b-sides cd unless they booked the GH
in advance?
i can't answer, really. i just know that i'm enjoying it a lot!
