2. I was thinking and i think i may have a new
interpretation of the song. replies are welcome.
The sweet thing that bono speaks of is actually us the
fans. We throw him around like a rubber ball, we might
not catch him if he falls, but we are the sweetest
thing because that's what the boys are there for.
More appropriate lines:
"I'm losing you.. I'm losing you" (people turned off
by zooropa/pop)
"I've got black eyes but they burn so brightly for her"
"Baby's got blue skies up ahead, but in this I'm a
raincloud" - perhaps u2s need to be different to other
bands.
"I wanted to run but she made me crawl, I turn on fire
she turned me to straw" - i don't really know but it
kinda sounds like consumer expectations governing the
output of the band.
"she's a stormy kinda love" - obvious really
well it was just a series of thoughts.
you know after 10 years or so they wrote this song, and
perhaps they had this same feeling again so they decided
to release it - and who knows I may have uncovered a
secret plan to embarrass the head u2 fans around the
world by ironically telling them to sod off.
(nothing personal, or even impersonal - i'm just
rambling)
aah we can only live in hope.
