Shirley Manson and Bono

I was at the Garbage show last night (opening night of their US tour) and
before the show I was able to go back and meet the band. All I cared to talk
to was Shirley and tell her ONE thing...remember a while back what she said
when she first met Bono? how she felt like she was the center of the universe
and that she felt like she was talking to '"jesus in a leather jacket"? well I
wanted to tell her that I thought that was the COOLEST thing to say about Bono
because I mean afterall....he IS god :)

so it was my turn to talk to her and she was signing something for me and I
said..hey! I gotta tell ya that U said the coolest thing about Bono after U
first met him and she started laughing and I reminded her what she said and
she got SO excited..shes like "Bono is the bomb" and "oh my god I was swooning
at his feet....he walked up to me and picked up me and said 'come here party
girl' and gave me a bug hug" she said she felt like the center of the universe
and that Bono was SOOOO damn cool...I could only say..."yeah I know..isnt he?"
and she was loving it...

then after the show we waited because not all of us were able to go back to
meet the band earlier so we waited so the others could meet them and my friend
said the same thing about bono to Shirley and she thought it was some sort of
conspiracy and immediately asked where I was and assumed we were friends
...cause Im stupid like that...

anyway..point to this was that Shirley had this look in her eyes the moment I
said Bono and U could tell that she was truely moved by this man and that she
has HIGH admiration and respect for him...anyway...I wanted to share :)
