Once upon a time I belonged to a group that would shut anyone out if
they went over the line for any reason. They called themselves
Christians but there was little compassion and forgiveness...and very
little mercy. I was reminded that Jesus often socialized with these
very same people..He didn't condone what they did but He didn't point
out their sins either. He didn't seem to spend a lot of time talking
about people's individuall sins..except hypocrisy maybe...
I was not the least bit surprised that Bono went out of his way to see
Clinton while the President was in Ireland . I would have been
surprised if he had not...they have forged some kind of a friendship and
remaining friends with someone even after they have messed up big time
does not mean you are overlooking what they did...it just means you are
still friends...and Bono probably told the President he's praying for
him...and he probably is...and so should we all who are so inclined....
