Re: walk to the water and imagery

<<I was listening to "Walk to the Water" last night and reflecting on the
line "your legs were cross, your arms wide open" and thinking, for the
twentieth time, what a strange image this is. Then it hit me where I've
seen this before. Jesus on the cross. Anyone else think of this or care
to comment? >>

Actually, the verse is "your legs were *crossed*, your arms wide open" - it
seems to be meant to represent the image of a girl the narrator is in love
with.... "Walk to the Water" always sounded like a love song to me.
