#U2 on IRC

I've been in U2 discussion groups, mailing lists like Wire, newsgroups like
alt.music.u2 and alt.fan.u2, AOL chat rooms, sixdegrees groups, member
discussions, and all kinds of other things like that relating to U2. And
believe it or not, I have found the *least* friendly people to be in a
little place called #u2 on IRC's Efnet. Funny how that happens...and I just
thought I'd like to share that with everyone since we all do have a right to
free speech. So next time anyone here is thinking about going onto #u2 on
IRC to "chat," think twice. People on the alt.music.u2/alt.fan.u2
newsgroups are SO much friendlier. Glad to have met people like
you...Heather, Doc, Cheryl, Leenie, and even the invisible stiggie. That's
my 2 cents for ya. ;-)
