U2 and Ireland

That's an interesting point, the fact that the U.S. media can't refer to
U2 without calling them "Irish". I mean, how many times do they refer to
the Stones or the Who as a "British" or "English" band? They do on
occasion, but not incessantly. For goodness' sakes, the public knows
damn well U2 are Irish; why do the media keep up this mindless
repetition?
