People criticized someone for sharing a sensible-enough-sounding
rumour that she heard about the band? A rumour about something
that would be very exciting, and that could actually stand some sort
of chance of being true?

Let there be 50 A+ Room-Rockin' shows in LA (even though I won't
be able to go--poo) and let none of those lame-ass fools gets tickets.
Let them press their pitiful little ears up to the outside walls in a vain
attempt to absorb a bit of the bassline, while all the pleasant folks
dance onstage with the band. neener. neener. neeeeener. :-P
