I agree with everything you said except for one thing:

The country really isn't divided. The powerdrunk fuckheads we put
into office in our so-called "representative" government are the ones
who are divided.

And I think half of them are internally divided. I think a great
number of the Congresspersons who made a "yes" vote on any of the Ken
Starr's four trumped-up charges didn't actually want to, but were
politically intimidated into it by bastards like Tom Delay and Trent
Lott. How about putting them on trial for racketeering?
