I'd like to thank this poster (sorry, I'm not looking at the list right
now) for agreeing with me about Bono's voice. While I don't doubt that
years of recording and touring have taken a toll on his voice, it still
sounds spiffy to me! I was listening to "Pop" yesterday and I kept
thinking "hey, where's the big-time problem?" Notice I said "big time".
There probably isn't a rock singer out there who hasn't had voice
problems. Way back when, Grace Slick had to have at least three
operations on her vocal cords, and I've heard of people having to have
as many as nine.
