Re: how would your life be different without U2
I think I would still be alive if I hadn't experienced U2, but I
definitely believe I would be a shell of a person. I found U2 when I was
13--right when all hell starts to break loose in your soul. I do feel
they saved me in a way. But I also believe in fate and if it hadn't been
them, it would have been some other guardian angel to save me from
despair. But I think because I found U2 I was able to not only survive,
but grow into the strong spirit I am today. And for that I will always be
grateful to them. I think the best part of them as a band, and as
individuals, is that they are so reachable. Touchable. And real. They
allow us into their lives, their hearts, and souls. And even though I
know it's an illusion, I feel like I know them and are a part of them. I
think that's what they'd want though. Or else they wouldn't have become
rock stars with souls ;)
