but lori, rock stars _are_ greater than we are. . .they can indulge in
excesses of alcohol and drugs because their celebrity and creativity gives
them the right. we ordinary people shouldn't judge people like bono,
because he and his kind are the closest thing to a god we'll ever get to
see. so we believe in him because we have to. . .the alternative is just
too horrible to contemplate
