Three years ago my eighteen year old brother (who was also a huge U2
fan) committed suicide and being the older brother, I had to choose a
song to play at the funeral. The only U2 song that the minister thought
'appropriate' was One, and it sounded unbelieveable in the the old
church the funeral was held at. I think a lot of the older people there
mistook it for a hymn. Two years later, One is also dedicated to Michael
Hutchence, so I guess there's a lot of other people who feel the same
way about 'one'.
