It was one year ago today, on last year�s thanksgiving day when tragedy
happened to one of the bravest journalists from M�xico, Jes�s
Blancornelas and his bodyguard Luis Valero. They were on their way to
work to the ZETA newspaper, where he�s the director, when he was
ambushed by 2 cars full of men from the infamous Arellano F�lix drug
Cartel. He survived but was severely injured and underwent surgery on
his back, hand and neck. However, his bodyguard died instantly under the
rain of AK47�s bullets. You may ask, where�s the U2 content in this ?
Blancornelas is a member of Amnesty International, and a prized
journalist in America. Two of his sons are hardcore U2 fans, and went to
the JT tour, Zoo TV and POP Mart tours. Yes, I went with them also.
Talking to one of his sons, he wishes Bono would know of his father�s
story, and how radically life has changed for all his family and the few
friends that they have left.
