"best of" album / best of wire

Thanks to Jerry Hart, another NYC wireling who pointed me in the right
direction, I have the best of album playing in my stereo as I write
this. YAY! :)

And this thread.. Best of Wire... how great!

Um. Ok. I joined Wire in January of '97, when all the hoopla
surrounding POP was going on. I was amazed to find that there was an
enormous Internet community surrounding U2, and was relieved to find
people as obsessed with this band as I was. Wire has been so great for
me... if not for all of you, I would have surely missed out on so many
things.

I met two of the most wonderful people ever. I planned my entire summer
and tour schedule around a guy I hadn't met in person yet... and, during
my summer, saw things I never thought I would see; met Bono and Edge
(twice!), watched a friend dance with Bono during Miami; saw U2 from the
front row in Madison, WI; and attended seven POPmart shows all over the
east and midwest.

Thank you, Wire, for introducing me to so many wonderful people, so many
kind souls. U2 should be proud to have such amazing fans.
