  This is a warning for all buyers on ebay. although ebay is a good place to get nice items of all types, there is always the chance of getting ripped off by unscrupulous individuals who post items they don't have and collect money for them. i have had the misfortune of runnning into one of these people, and some of you here probably have too and may not know it yet.

  the seller i am refering to used the email address
[email protected] to sell on ebay. he is in australia and he ran some auctions back in late august, including a Trip through your Wires promo 12" and other U2 items. he gives his name as daniel evans and maybe others. he is a THIEF. i have contacted ebay about him and suggest anybody who was ripped do the same.

  he has stopped using that ebay account and my investigation points to him using a new ebay account with the name hawkmoon1 ([email protected]). he ran 15 auctions in the first week of october including a purple vinyl 7". if you were a winner in one of these auctions, do not send him any money unless you can confirm he is legit.
   
  ebay has feedback pages so you can get an idea of what kind of seller/buyer you are dealing with. sellers with (0) feedback are the most suspect, not to slight all of the newbie ebay sellers. as a buyer you have the right to ask for references and you can gain other contact info about any seller by contacting ebay for it. do this if you are uneasy about an individual.
