I heard through the R.E.M. grapevine that while taping an edition of
'storytellers' for Vh-1 Michael Stipe told the audience that Bono had
'input' on a song on R.E.M.'s new album "UP"..The song is "walk
unafraid'..I've heard the song and I liked it before I knew of the Bono
connection. It's not quite clear what his input was ...and I hope the
comments about him aren't edited out of the final production. My source
was a fan who was in the audience for the taping.
