I've just read an article claiming that "Pop" (and I quote) "barely
moved a million copies". The fact of the matter is that it barely went
platinum in the U.S. and it *was* a bit of a commercial disappointment--
because the record company wanted a 10 million sale. This didn't happen,
but what about all of the other countries outside of the U.S. where it
did indeed sell several million? I personally don't give a damn how many
copies it sold, but I get irked when I read a blatantly false statement
in the press.
Pax,
