"next U2" debate

There's not going to be "next" U2 any more than there was a next Beatles
or whoever. It's in the nature of a great group to have something that
sets them apart. I think U2's greatest strength is their versatility.
It's just amazing. Most groups do not have this going for them, so they
sort of wither up after awhile. If there is indeed gong to be "another
U2" the group will have to 1) play great music 2) stay sane for twenty
years or so in that cutthroat business 3) adjust to their present time
and place, and.......there will continue to be great bands, but I'm not
so sure that another group will meet those criteria.
