PS: Ad hominem ("you disagree with me therefore you suck") arguments do
not a convincing case make. Basically you are left with your preference
for U2 during the Joshua Tree era (supposedly when they were being more
"authentic," as if cowboy hats were somehow more "authentic" than yellow
shades and club wear) and nothing else. There is absolutely no way to
prove yourself "right" and all others "wrong" in this sort of pissing
contest, no matter how much you rant and repeat yourself.
