Bono's voice quality

I've been reading a lot of posts about the quality of Bono's voice and I
strongly disagree with the statement it has deteriorated. I think it has
changed and gotten better as he has aged. Actually, for the most part I
think it sounds better now than it did 10 years ago.
People say that years of smoking and drinking have lessened Bono's voice to
a degree. When years of smoking and drinking changed Frank Sinatra's voice
they called it mellow...
