Ok. As I said and no one remembers, I got some LP's last week (very
exciting!) and one of them was "The Album" (ha), JT of course. Believe
it or not before getting this copy I had never even gotten to see it
before. So, my question was, does anyone know why a different pic was
used for the cover of the CD? I mean, it's almost exactly the same pic
except it's all out of focus. I think the album shot is better--on an
interview disc I have Bono was saying how it was "a very focused record"
(as opposed to UF) so it seems logical that the cover should be sharply
in focus. Now, if my dad would just get me that record player so I can
*listen* to these things...

Also. All this talk about the "U2 sucks" page reminded me. I don't know
if any of the U.S.-ers here are familiar with The Daily Show on Comedy
Central, but it's a satirical news show, sort of in the vein of SNL's
Weekend Update. Anyway, I was watching a tape from early '97 and much to
my surprise the first story was on the PopMart conference. I guess it
would've been funny if you can tolerate U2 being made fun of, which I
can't. ("For those of you who still don't believe U2 stopped being cool
in the late '80's, here's proof...") My mom was laughing pretty hard
though. Think I'm getting her burned out on them? :)

Speaking of my mom, I was listening to UABRS this weekend and she went
through the liner notes and said parts of it were recorded at all these
different locations. I looked at them myself and I'm confused now. I've
only watched the vid a few times so I'm not sure but I thought
everything on the album was from Red Rocks? They listed Boston and
Germany on there too...is that where they were mixed, or where the
equipment came from, or what?

Oh, one more thing. All the U2 fish I got this weekend...well...Bono
died today. Very upsetting. Of *all* the fish...(I mean, it would've
been upsetting anyway, but...) Well, gave him a nice little burial in
the backyard. I guess my Gavin fish has to take over on vocals now.
