We have a winner! The Emerald City, as chosen by the appropriate
Wire readership, is Sydney. (Honorable mention honors go to Melbourne
which finished 2nd by one vote.) The final tally was:
Sydney - 5
Melbourne - 4
Perth - 1
Brisbane - 1
Fremantle - 1
(Two invalid votes for Dublin and one for Paris also were cast - both
great cities, neither in Australia.)
Votes for the "Wizard of Oz" are now being taken. Happy New Year,
especially Down Under because they will be experiencing it first, along
with New Zealand!
