Just to clarify a debated point here--when Bono mentioned in Rolling Stone
that he was in San Francisco the day after the '92 election, at Glide
Memorial Church, you've got to realize that it was possible for him to be
there and still play the Vancouver gig that night: when U2 tour western
North America, their base city is San Francisco. That's where they spend
most of their time, and they use it as a jumping-off point for other
destinations. (This is a fact that U2 Bay Areans are very proud of :)
So Bono and co. can wake up in S.F., go play Seattle/Vancouver/San
Diego/Tempe or wherever that night, and then take the plane back to SF
that same night. A minor point, but hey, I gotta represent for SF here :)
May love light up all y'all's Christmas trees and stuff,
Tim
