Could anyone help me with this? There used to be a guy, nicknamed
Phaser I think, who had a U2 guitar soundsite that said what effects
Edge in particular, used on some of their hard to replicate songs. So I
was wondering if anyone could help me find this page or give me any
information about it. Thank you.
Regarding the new album, I think it will, as they say, be back to the
basics, straight forward music. To compensate for what they'll lose
effect wise, they'll make up in musical ability. I think it's going to
be their best yet, as is every new album. I'm not a fan living in the
past, but I think we might see some of the magic that we saw on JT. As
good music as they've written in the 90s, they have not written anything
quite like the first side of JT. There's something special there,
really special. Musically, the first three songs off JT are damn near
perfect. They really haven't been changed a lot, like Bullet has. I
think the album will be out before June. I have a feeling that they're
giving themselves a lot of time, just so they're not rushed and in the
end, will put it out AHEAD of schedule. I think they'll give the album
time to set in and then tour arenas and see how it goes. I'd love to
see them in an arena, maybe a simple roundabout stage. If it goes over
well, I can see them going back to stadiums, but we'll see. I can see
them dropping songs like New Year's Day, Pride, ISHFWILF (maybe) Bullet,
Even Better, End of the World, MysteriousWays, MoFo, LastNight, etc and
adding songs like October, SundayBloodySunday (full kickass version),
40, RTSS, Exit, or Mothers, AngelofHarlem, WGRYWH, SoCruel would be
great, or any of the last three songs off of AB, something off of
Zooropa, hopefully TheFirstTime, or DirtyDay, and maybe something like
IGWSHA, PlayboyMansion, and WUDM. That is all, of course, part actually
idea, part dream : ) Okay, bye Wire.
