Speaking of the Late Late Show performance...

I'm glad J brought up the Late Late Show performance...there is something I
have been meaning to ask the Wire community since I heard it. I am amazed
that there really has been no comment on the very different style they used to
perform the two songs. I was really blown away by it. I loved it! And I hope it
is a foreshadowing of the new style they are developing for the new album!

Anyone else notice this? And if so, any comments on it. I am totally illiterate
when it comes to music. I can't tell you what made it different, except the backing
music was heavier somehow. If anyone can describe in a more expicit way what
I was hearing, please do. ...Now I will be really unhappy if someone tells me that
they played the two songs exactly the same way they usually do and my internet
file just garbled it and made it sound different!
