alright....since when did 'joy' equal light-weight emotion? Mysterious ways
to me is a song with quite a bit of joy in it and I don't see it as
lightweight or devoid of meaning. Bono has often differentiated between joy
and happiness during interviews and yes there is a difference. He seems to
understand it and also seems to understand that joy isn't the same as escapist
optimism. I see songs like unforgettable fire as joyous.....to me u2 have
quite a few songs that understand the true meaning of joy, with the band
giving awesome performances like the omagh tribute show and with eno and
lanois taking the reigns...I am very excited for this album and can't wait to
hear it...
