No doubt, I would say it is safe to say that almost all Exiters read
Wire but they just don't post. Their character just ins't strong
enough to take flames in case they go against the current climate of
opinion regarding a certain topic.
Based on what the Exit website has to say in describing their list,
they have 100% regulated u2 content. It's like buying canned fish
instead of fresh fish. Due to the lack of plentiful U2 news, it is
either there are only few posts on Exit or all their posts are
overanalytical, hypothetical, theoretical posts and commentaries about
U2 (ho hum) that are flame proof (yup, no flames in Exit so tehre is
no room for disagreement).
So Exit is a lame attempt to be intellectual, thus to touch the mind.
But Wire with its flames and other posts, makes itself more in touch
with reality. Wire goes straight to the heart with its freedom of
expression. Exit is a failure at going to the heart by passing
through the brain. Well, these are all dangerous presumtions and
arguments that I make, but they are based on what I've heard and on
what Brad Graham wrote in his introduction about Exit in their
webpage. Maybe you could improve on that Brad. I just hope that Exit
FAQ isn't reflective of the level of intellect of the snobish insecure
Exiters.
And Wire does have news with inside info from Polygram employees who
are Wirelings or friends of Wirelings, as well as the posts of Prarit
and otehr news people who take time out to share whatever latest info
they have in the band. We also have interesting threads and polls
that provide a healthy avenue of discussion. So you have nothng to
worry about!
Cheers,
J
