well, yesterday the two men that Bono stood inbetween on stage in
Belfast, holding their hands up in a symbolic coming together of
unionist and nationalist shortly before the ratification of the Good
Friday Agreement, received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo.

David Trimble (unionist) and John Hume (nationalist) are leaders of
the two main parties in Northern Ireland and the Peace Prize is a
recognition of how far the two have come in building a new peace for
the troubled province. As Senator Mitchell noted,
""Without Mr Hume, there would have been no peace process, without Mr
Trimble, no agreement."

finally, the Belfast Telegraph had this to say about tonights special
concert in Oslo's Concert Hall:

"There is speculation that a surprise appearance
may be made by U2 and Downpatrick's Ash who
played a special concert in support of the Yes
vote in the May 22 referendum."

We'll just have to wait and see!
