Legends
The Legends series includes 4 one-hour musical biographies narrated by Kris
Kristofferson. Some of the artists profiled are Janis Joplin, Marvin Gaye,
Curtis Mayfield and The Grateful Dead. Tune in and find out what made these
artists change the world of music!
This episode takes a look at the group that Rolling Stone Magazine dubbed "the
Band of the 80s". Chronicles yhr group from their beginninga group of
teenage boys who could not even play their instrumentsthrough their success
as one of the most globally popular rock groups. The band discusses their rise
to fame and fortune.>>
Then they state on their "Inside Vh-1" page:
<<Join Ireland's own U2 for the premiere of Legends on Thursday at 9PM
(ET/PT).>>
but on Today's description they have:
<<David Bowie first attracted a cult following in the early seventies with his
rock superstar caricature, Ziggy Stardust, and then casually slipped from one
guise to another in pursuit of his art...>>
"What the bloody hell?" As Simpson's Cartoon Bono put it.
So tonight, according to Vh1's programming guide, will be Bruce Springsteen.
Then Bowie, followed by Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin.
Tomorrow nights Legends schedule is as follows (again according to THEIR
programming guide ... not the inside Vh-1 page):
Stevie Ray Vaughan, U2, The Doors, and U2 again at 11pm.
And according to the Dish Network (Satellite Broadcast) for today, it will be
Springsteen, Bowie, Turner and Franklin.
Not to mention their web page takes entirely too long to open with all the
freaking graphics they use.
To make it worse...
<<Wind down from a long weekend of shopping with metal madmen Motley Crue on
Vh1's Behind The Music, Sunday at 9PM >>
Motley Crue? On VH-1? Your light easy favorites from yesterday and today?
::::Bigh Sigh:::::
Where is the sanity?
well ... whatever.
