A Question to Ponder on the "Bono-SKAG" issue

How could Bono be a practicing drug addict or alcholic when he is able to
pen such recovery-based songs like "Some Days Are Better Than Others" or
"One" or "Mofo" or "Last Night on Earth?"

Some Days Are Better Than Others nicely sums up the "One Day At A Time"
concept in 12-step programs. "Some days are honest, some days are not, Some
days you're thankful for what you've got..."

One reflects the Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous program that "we
get to carry each other."

Last Night On Earth: "She already knows it hurts, She's living like it's
the last night on earth."

Mofo: "Mother...am I still your son, You know I've waited for so long to
hear you say so, Mother...you left and made me someone, Now I'm still a
child, no one tells me no."

I could go on and on with other U2 songs and how they fit into and reflect
recovery-based issues and beliefs...

Perhaps we could all practice another basic tenet of recover: gratitude. Be
grateful that a band like U2 and a songwriter Bono exists in a laregly dark,
desolate and unforgiving world. I know I am.
