Flannigan

I don't have the exact quote, but when Flannigan raised the issue
of oral sex in AB, Bono said something rather guiltily,
mischievously. He didn't admit to anything, but Flannigan, I
believe was given the impression by Bono's reaction that the oral
sex thing was at least partway correct.

I think there are tons of ways "Did I leave a bad taste in your
mouth?/" could be interpreted, none of them (except for the GODDAMN
STUPID DRUG argument, THANK YOU, J) being incorrect or off the
mark. It could be the traditional icky, gross, unsettling "bad
taste in your mouth" or maybe it's as innocent as kissing, or
maybe, in connection with "acrobat"'s "You can swallow/ or you can
spit/ you can throw it up/ or choke on it" phrase, something more
sexual. Maybe it's all of them at once. Maybe there is a personal
connotation that none of us but Bono and the bandmembers or Bono
and Ali or WHOEVER will understand.

As far as people getting pissed off about lyric discussions and how
they do or don't relate to drugs or sex, why get so bent out of
shape? The people arguing for it are as much into doing so as you
guys are against reading their posts. So just DON'T read them and
stop complaining. There's nothing wrong with it.

Callie
