Lori,
You're not upsetting me, I'm just don't feel the same way you do about
Bono's condition. You claim you see him drunk all the time or most of the
time...and I guess you claim this is hurting the group. Do you have some
inner knowledge about U2 that no one else knows about because I think in
spite of all we as fans can claim to know about Bono or Edge or Adam or
Larry we only know what we see...their on-stage, on-air persona. And from
where I stand...I see a group overflowing with creativity that knows how to
excite its fans. I know nothing about what its like to be any one of these
guys in their normal lives, nor do I presume to know. As a fan I may want
to know, but as a person I respect their privacy and that's it. And for the
record...I don't know anyone who doesn't have one or two or ten drinks
before getting on the stage to calm the nerves. While I'm sure that
performing does not cause as much anxiety for U2 as it used to, its human
nature to be a little nervous in front of a crowd. Remember this. But now
I'm tired of talking about this so once again...let's move on.
