Maybe so but that doesn't mean he hasn't tried them. All together
now...A DRUG EXPERIMENTER DOES NOT AN ADDICT MAKE.
That constitutes an array of factors that must be in synchronicity
including some or all of the following; genetics, personality, availability
of substances, reward mechanisms in the brain affected by the drug
and the person's overall disposition to drug abuse.
At this point (in an addict only), it has little to do with intelligence.
William Boroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac etc did not appear
to be stupid men. Made some stupid decisions yes. But they were
not stupid men.
Consider this very common scenario, you can have two brothers with
the same alcoholic, drug addicted father. They grow up and one
becomes a full-blown substance abuser while the other becomes say
a doctor. Ask them both why they made the choices they did and
they'll say "Well, look at my father!"
Also new research findings suggest that a rare gene is consistently
present and may play a role in people who are compulsive drug
addicts, alcoholics, thrill-seekers AND gamblers. Interesting huh?
One last thing ,since singing and speaking are not involved in the
same area of the brain, (singing comes from memory) it is entirely
possible to be wasted on stage and yet be able to sing just fine. Two
words-Keith Richards, who certainly sings much better than he
speaks.
Just things to think about.

LOL!! I certainly hope you are joking. Wait! I am trying to see your
point of view but honestly I can't seem to be able to get my head that
far up my ass. Sorry.
