Ok, time to be honest with myself..i do find myself idolizing u2. I just
can't get over how this groups music makes me feel..encourages me to dig for
and just puts me in a good mood. I also can't get over the Passion in the
music and the way it isn't afraid to talk about anything. Rock n' roll itself
is a passion of mine, and to find a group with the same intrigue and
curiousity about how rock n'roll can affect people and make a difference just
blows me away.
Regarding Bono...I have ALOT of respect and intrigue for this guy that seems
to put in his lyrics what i'm feeling and wondering about my own world and
soul. I think its cool that he finds himself intrigued with Elvis...and to an
extent I have the same curiosity and interest in U2. U2 for me put in big
bold colors my own questions and contradictions...especially regarding my role
in my world and spiritual matters.and I also admit that thru reading
interviews and books with bono and the rest of the group, I identify with alot
of his ideas and questions..noot to mention its nice to know Im not the only
human being on earth that has problems getting her life together..ie, not
losing things... getting carried away in my own world,
absentmindedness,.impulsive..etc..and I 2 find myself strugging with
reconciling my open minded, wild, sometimes sensual, adventurous side with what
I was brought up to believe how a christian should behave and act on their
faith.....and to me watching how this man, who has alot more temptations and
contradictions than I've ever faced kinda helps me a little in understanding
myself.
in the name of hope, faith, love and u2
