Hi Wire,

This week I was browsing through the NME (with Beck on the cover) when I
saw a review of the Popmart video. There, the writer gives some
non-relevant critique, doesnt discuss the video at all (almost) and
ends with a rating of 2 (on a scale of 10). Whats wrong with those
papers (NME and Melody Maker). First they are willing to lick
everybodys ass just to get an interview with the band and the next
issue they slam them for: a)not being British b) not making
Britpop/shameless replicas of Beatles songs c) being original and
succesful.
Oh well, I could hae known it when they published their interview with
The Edge. When discussing each album in the 80s, they included, apart
from the stand-out track and musical feature, the fashion statement.
Besides from being unnecessary, it also showed how shitty the paper
still is.
Anyway, I think Ive let off enough steam.

Marty

P.S. What are your feelings now the limited edition is getting sold out?
Are you happy because U2 have sold so much of their Best of... or are
you sad because other persons dont have the opportunity to buy the
extra disk and hear the b-sides? I dont know yet...

-----
Tell me the definition of a sell-out
Cast your first stone and then get the hell out
People say they know me, I can tell you that they dont
People say they own me, I can tell you that they wont
