um, i dont think thats altogether true. Bono's "image" if you want to
call it that, was not really an image, it was him being himself, and
to me it didnt seem "holier-than-thou," it seemed loving, innocent,
intelligent, spiritual, and righteous (not in a showy or
goody-two-shoes way either) all at the same time. and as for him using
Macphisto to poke fun.....at himself? um, i dont think that was what
he was doing. I think Bono was more poking fun at the arrogant
attitude that a lot of todays rock stars have.
