Soapy, maybe, but it was 'With Or Without You'! Since my first encounter
with U2 was from a copied tape of the first half of 'Joshua Tree', back in
'87, brought home by my brother while he was serving his compulsory army
term. 'With Or Without You' really did it, the infinite guitar, Bono's
voice, the meaning of the song... Later on I learnt to appreciate 'Bullet
The Blue Sky' and 'Running To Stand Still' and much later, I'm afraid,
'Where The Streets...' and 'I Still Haven't Found...'.
