...Bitter Tears not really having faded from two days earlier...I'm not
Messing With Texas...a realization that my own magical musical journey
is slowly approaching the finish line out West...buying film w/ Dana -
I'll take the bargain barrel film...the beauty of the
AlamoDome...feeling like I'm in junior-high again...3EB's final
night...the familiar faces gather at the b-stage...playing Karen's own
personal bartender...not knowing when to say when...Jerry giving me the
sweetest scolding ;)...as ISHF begins, Bono tells us "this is for my
friend, Michael"...David Guyer staring at the true wimp in me as the
tears roll down...and roll...Sharie gets her Wire tag up on stage,
around Bono's neck...the first time "Never Tear Us Apart" is played as
the outro..."This one's for you"...Willie Williams handing me the
setlist, later signing it with a laugh...Bono and Larry spending so much
time taking with us all outside...the ultimate hangover wiping out a
whole day from my drive to the coast...G'Bye Aing, Dana, and KatiePOP
(until we meet again two weeks later)!

Realizing that Texas was not nearly as big as the memories pulled from
this town...Good Night, Michael....
