A groovy U2 memory, from when I was just a little tyke :)

I don't know if you'd call it the song that got me *hooked*, but "Pride"
is the song that made me first *take interest* in U2.

I remember sitting in the drive-thu at Taco Bell with my mom. I think I
was, like, 8 maybe. "Pride" was on the radio, and I was singin' along a
little bit, and my mom was shocked that I knew the words. To tell ya
the truth, I don't even know how I knew that song, considering I was
only in the 3rd grade and never listened to the radio. I wasn't into
music then. I still liked Barbies. But, in any case, I knew this song,
and reeeeally enjoyed it, and that blows me away, for I was so young and
little did I know that 10 years from that day, I'd be a total fanatic
for the guys singin' that song! I had no clue then, how great of an
impact that group would have on my life. I don't know why, but that
seems sorta weird; funny. And I remember my mom thought it was so
cute, me singin' along, `cause I never used to sing or care for music
whatsoever so this was a big change. She thought it was a pretty cool
song too. That was raaaaaaad, that my mom really liked it! :) Then we
ordered our tacos and went home.

Anyway, just wanted to ramble a little about that. That's one of my
earliest memories about U2. It's a small one, but I've always liked it.

P.S. Tell me if I remember this correctly....
Is there a version of "Pride" where Bono's singin' with a lady or
somethin'? Or is it a chorus? For some reason, that day when I was 8
years old at Taco Bell.....I remember that playin' on the car radio. I
think Bono was singin' with a lady....but I could be wrong.

Your love was a light bulb hangin' over my bed!
