i was flipping through the channels last night, and came across some MTV
news stuff, and... they had a snippet of an interview with Edge&Bono, in
which the lads said something that got me frozen. they said if their next
studio album wasn't well received, U2 would call it a day. did you hear
that?? Bono mumbled something about r'n'r becoming a bonfire for the masses
to warm their hands on, and U2 not wanting to be a part of it blah blah
blah... he said, quote, "Our egos are too big to be in a crap band". they
said they were working on the next album as if it was to be their last one,
though they hoped it wouldn't be... am i getting hysterical? probably. but
the whole thing spoiled my mood, and i didn't even enjoy watching the
Placebo special later on that night... and Miss Molko looked like he hadn't
even taken the time to put on a proper makeup... are people just lettin' go
these days?...
