-I went to the biggest music store (Music One) in the biggest mall
(SM) in this country (The Philippines), and at least for that store,
the #1 album is U2's Best Of. Phil Collins was #2 and Julia Fordham
at #3. Alanis checked in at #4.
-Three weeks ago, Sweetest Thing was the "Pic Of The Week" in the
country's top radio station, NU 107.
-The limited edition album is sold here at 600 pesos, which would
translate to just a shade under $15 (cheap!). It is November 12 now
and it seems that the special edition will not be pulled out of the
shelves. The shops are probably just going to wait for it to be sold
out.
-All the record stores I have been to here have either a giant poster
for the U2 GH (with a POP era U2, the album cover, some song titles,
and gold sidings) or a giant Sweetest Thing poster.
-The special edition and the regular version were released
simultaneously in the Philippines.
Now I have a question: Are there any one in any other countries where
the GH has already been pulled out of the shelves? (it's supposed to
be until Nov. 10, right?)
Bye for now,
Jovi
