        I've been on this list on and off for two and a half years. There
have always been people which bitch and whine and think that they are gods
gift of a fan, but recently, it's gotten to be too much. People keep
bitching about the song selection, the packaging of the GH album. Has it
EVER, EVER crossed the minds of these people that the reason U2 put out
this album was not for the fanatic, anal, spastic, gotta have every CD,
tape, record, book, poster, or other paraphanialia fan, but instead for
the person who might know of U2, recongnize one or two of their songs,
but not own A SINGLE ALBUM!?!?!?!? These are the people the album was
directed to. So quit you F&$KING whining and be happy that more people are
becoming interested in the music. I know a bunch of my friends have bought
the album even though up until this point the only U2 they knew was
through me. I'm quite happy about the album. I don't care what songs they
put on it and which ones they didn't because except for three of the
b-sides, I allready had all the songs, so what did it matter? So Gloria is
not on the album, are you too lazy to pull out OCTOBER and listen to it?
This album actually made me pull out OCTOBER because except for the title
song, nothing from that album was on it, and so I thought I might listen
to the album again. It had been a while.
        We all need to shut the hell up, get off our ego driven soap
boxes, and get back to just appreciating U2. That is why we are on this
list, isn't it? I swear, if things don't change, I'm getting the hell off
this list. Prarit does such a good job with the U2 news that I'm not sure
if there is any reason to be on WIRE with the amount of complaining,
Flaiming, and other pathetic posts which pervade this list.

        Off to sulk 'cause I still don't have POPMART MEXICO. I was sooooo
looking forward to plopping my ass down in the t.v. room at my fraternity
house and spending a nice two hours with all my U2 buddies at school
watching the concert. I guess I'll just go and study for those two exams I
have tomorrow and listen to my ever present studying cd.....ZOOROPA!!!
