Thanks for this note. I had no idea... I guess everybody's tastes are
different, and perhaps the band feels they've outgrown the song. But do
you think they could actually be "embarrassed" about it since they didn't
put it on a CD to try to get 90's fans into their 80s music?

Just thought I would add this.
In a newspaper interview with Edge published here in Australia recently,
the interviewer commented that "Gloria" had been left off the album and asked
why. Edge gave fairly much a non-answer by saying "We know that it is some
people's favourite song. But we have to remain true to our instincts and
this is our favourite songs".
This, kinda, implies to me that perhaps the group are a bit over "Gloria",
although I am at a loss to validate this reason cause they haven't been
anywhere near it for years!
Just thought I would share it anyway. Now, uh, get back to whatever you
were doing...
